Sewing For Fall

This is it! The day I officially put away the summer fashion fabrics and begin to look at sewing seriously for Fall!

A little overcast here and so what better time to begin thinking of the fall wardrobe. After my trip to New York in May I came home with some elegant co-ordinates to start with.

Green seems to be the color of choice this year but I am blending some periwinkle blues into the mix and will send off some pictures shortly .

Colour Predictions for 2014

I love the summer but planning ahead is essential in fashion, especially if you sew.

Looking at the trends for next year a wide array of colour present themselves.

Sumptuous, spiritual, silent and playful are the words to describe the latest fabrics you will see.

Texture in the form of yarns, brushed treatments, and feathery or furry surfaces are everywhere.

Brown, copper and rust fit nicely into the fall colors along with greens in a matte or subtle sheen finish.
Enjoy the fun of coloring up your wardrobe .
